I decided that I would annotate my sketchbook work in more detail as I felt that I hadn’t shown the links to my research clearly enough. I wanted to use tracing paper to write on as I had tried this on another page and felt that this worked well. It helps to make the writing easier to read and the background/ image can still be seen through it.
After doing this, I have found a few gaps in my research and also remembered some research which I have not responded to in my sketchbook. This, therefore, was a helpful exercise and I will remember these ideas and research when developing my work further.
Target for today: Annotate sketchbook in more detail and use tracing paper to write on so that these annotations are easy to read and that the background/ image can still be seen.
Target for tomorrow: Create the word ‘beautiful’ using gold leaf, and make it look old and distressed, etc. Look at the work of Ros Rixon and respond both in sketchbook and with the use of photography.
