Saturday 2nd April 2011:

I decided to create an image using oil pastel which includes the victim and the bully. I especially wanted to show the difference in power between the two of them. I have drawn the victim with her mouth shut (to represent that she can’t say anything to stand up herself) and with tears falling from her eye. I drew the bully ‘shouting’ at the victim showing how much control over the victim she has and to what extent she can go to without the victim doing anything about it.

I thought about perhaps adding tape (either masking tape/ black tape) to the image (ie: a ‘cross’ across the victim’s mouth, and lines coming out from the bullies mouth to represent shouting). I’m not sure if this will look as effective as I had imaged before creating the image and so I will consider carrying out this idea and perhaps experiment with this digitally first to see how it make look.

Target for today: Create an image (using a different material, such as oil pastel), which includes the victim and the bully and shows the difference in power between the two of them.

Target for tomorrow: Work into another copy of my drawing ‘The Anthropomorphic Cabinet’ using thread and stitching to create new effects.
