Sunday 10th April 2011:
Today, I continued to present the data from my questionnaires in my sketchbook. I looked further at different fonts and type styles and I think these work well. I also quite like the black against the coloured background as this helps the data and different uses of typography to stand out.
I tried to choose statistics which would mean something and had high enough percentages to make people realise the truth about bullying. For example, ‘60% agreed that the bully can be just as much of a victim’. Although this is quite a high percentage, it is also low enough to hopefully show that my anti-bullying campaign and organisation can help to increase this number to make more people think and realise that the bully can also be a victim.
For my final piece of a statistics/fact sheet, I will explore the use of different fonts and type styles further in order to see the effectiveness of either using different styles to represent each piece of data or whether just using one font would be better and look ‘cleaner’, etc.
Target for today: Continue to present data from questionnaires in an attractive way in sketchbook.
Target for tomorrow: Write the word ‘beautiful’ using yoghurt and leave out to become mouldy so can take photos. Write on sticks and stones and take photos to represent organisation name and also to explore insults and emotions further.
