Today, I decided to look back to my questionnaire results and to present the data from these in an attractive way in my sketchbook. I took percentages and used different type styles to display these. I tried to choose relevant type styles to the data I was showing.
For example, for the statistic of ‘85% of 18-20 year olds have been bullied’, I used an ‘old school’ font called ‘Collegiate’ to get inspiration from as this would represent both education/school where they may have been bullied as well as their age. I then looked at a font called ‘Face Your Fears’ for the sentence ‘nearly half of them didn’t tell anyone…’. I think this is relevant as it’s quite different to the type style above it (making it stand out), but it also relates to what the actual sentence itself is saying (how perhaps victims of bullying are to scared to tell anyone), etc.
I will continue to present this data attractively tomorrow and will look further at different type styles to do this.
Target for today: Begin to present data from questionnaires in an attractive way in sketchbook.
Target for tomorrow: Continue to present data from questionnaires in an attractive way in sketchbook.
